Sun Temple, Konark

Konark Sun Temple of Odisha is a world heritage site and also listed as one of the Seven Wonders of India. 

The temple is built in shape of a gigantic chariot and stone wheels,  first rays of sunrise strikes the principal entrance in the temple.

Konark Sun Temple at Konark, Odisha, built by   king Narasimhadeva I  (1238–1264 CE) of the Eastern Ganga Dynasty  it is now a world Heritage site.

Martand Sun Temple is located five miles from Anantnag in JK.  

The temple is now in ruins but the site is listed as national importance in Jammu and Kashmir and protected monuments of India. 

Martand Sun Temple   in Kashmir is a Central shrine, dedicated to the deity Sun. 

The temple complex was built by the third ruler of the Karkota dynasty. 

Emperor Lalitaditya Muktapida in the 8th century CE. 

It is one of the largest temple complexes on the Indian subcontinent.
