Independence came through Gallows and Wheel (Charkha) both, means Bhagat singh & Gandhi.

Chumna Padta hai Fansi Ka Fanda, Charkha Chalane Se Kabhi Inkalab Nahi Milta means Independence came through Gallows, not through (Charkha) Wheel. (Inkalab) Revolution comes only through Gallows.
But this is not true. in context of India. Independence came through Gallows and (Charkha) Wheel both.
Freedom Struggle and Role of Gallows and Charkha. – (Sahadat) Martyrdom gives any Race ( Kaum, Misal ) courage to fight for injustice. (Azadi Khoon mangati hai) Independence needs Blood . "Indian Struggle for Freedom" which is only relevant with the question, started way back in 1857, at that time and after that the struggle continued and freedom was no where. When Gandhi joined freedom struggle, that time there were 2 groups
1. Revolutionary Army under Pandit Ram Prasad Bismal  &
2. Congress in Naram - Garam Dal.
Ganghi, as Gokhle was his Political Guru worked on Economic aspect of struggle. Gandhi was of the thought that Britishers will leave India when it will be unprofitable for them to sustain here. And when he went Britain and saw factories and Industrial revolution he became dead sure that only through economic struggle Britishers can be defeated, because they flourished on the ruins of Indian industries as Bengal " Malmal " industry. On the name of high taxes Malmal makers hands were chopped of (Kat diya gaya). So Charkha as a symbol and memory of those came to light and local manufacturing started. That time in India only 1.50 lakhs Britishes were living here. The whole Army (99.99%) were Indian.
On the other hand Indian revolutionary parties, the Azad Hind Fauz and in 1946 the revolt of Indian Army under British rule make it clear that now Indian soldiers too, want freedom and they are not ready to work under British rule, they want freedom and their sovereign State.
These things make Indian independence possible. Both sides were important in the Freedom struggle of India.
                                        The End.
