Even during Mahabharat period Mahabali Prince Bhim ( 2nd of Pandav Brothers) married Hidimba, a princess of Africa; there son a great warrior Ghatochkach was a king. So our relationship is not new with black, (by colour) people. Does Colour matters? The colourful desert is also a great example.

We need every colour and type of flowers in our garden of world.
Lord God Vishnu is of dark colour. Even our beloved God Krishna as his name says too is not White. He is of dark colour. God Ram is also of that colour. We never see colour of people in our Indian Philosophy and Culture, his knowledge matters. So acknowledge wisdom not colour.
If we can fought shoulder to shoulder why we can't stay together.
